My terminal setup in 2026
People ask about this every time I share a screenshot, so here it is in one place.
- Shell: zsh with a small hand-written prompt, no frameworks
- Multiplexer: tmux, prefix on
Ctrl-a - Editor: Neovim with about a dozen plugins
- Font: a monospace font with ligatures disabled
The single most useful thing is fzf bound to Ctrl-r for history search. Everything else is
taste.
