Reviving a ThinkPad T480 for 60 euros
A colleague was about to throw it away: dead battery, cracked palm rest, 8 GB of RAM. Sixty euros in parts later it is my favourite travel machine.
New internal and external batteries, a second-hand palm rest, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB NVMe drive. The keyboard is still better than anything I have used on a modern laptop.
